PERSONAL
PERSONAL APPEARANCE
Reno’s attire is not one of professionalism despite the fact that his clothes were designed to be so. He is decked out in the Turk uniform but unlike his coworkers he tends to have it in disarray. His jacket is always unbuttoned and completely opened and has a variety of stains on it. His white buttoned shirt is never tucked in; even during important meetings, the top button his always undone because he can’t stand the feeling of the shirt choking him. He dress pants are a bit worn out as well as his work boots.
His entire wardrobe always has the appearance that that he had just rolled out of bed and tossed the clothing on, or had worn it to sleep; which is very likely. He has a silver necklace with a small locket on it that is tucked underneath his shirt, and he has goggles always stuck up into his blazing red hair. His hair is long and tied back into a rat tail that stretches down to the lower back. His eyes are a tinge of green-blue, almost like the effect from MAKO treatment but he had never received any. He has two red markings on the side of his eyes that are almost the same color of his hair. From a distance people mistake it for his hair, but they are red tattoos he had gotten one night when he was drunk.
PERSONALITY
The trait that stands out the most for Reno is his comical attitude. He tends to take almost every situation as a joke; even when on a mission that requires upmost seriousness. Despite being a Turk he doesn’t seem to be professional in any aspects of the job. He’s lazy, often throwing out reports before finishing them or handing them off to another Turk, most often than not it’s Rude since he tends to be able to make the man do anything for him. Although he jokes about quite a bit he does have a short temper and when things aren’t going his way he is one to throw a tantrum like a small child.
He doesn’t care about his own well being, often drinking to the point of oblivion and has on more than one occasion, given himself alcohol poisoning. He smokes, but not as much as he drinks, he seems to like the smell of cigarettes rather than the taste of the nicotine. Despite the way he doesn’t care about his own well being, he seems to deeply concern himself with the wellbeing of his fellow Turks, even if he doesn’t usually show it. He’s rude, crude, and sarcastic to them, but if they were in trouble or in a bind, he’s found charging recklessly forward.
Despite these traits, Reno’s emotions are actually a well kept mask that he’s worn since he’s joined the Turks. He’s emotionally scarred from the events in his past that happened before joining the Turks, and it’s because of this that Reno has mixed up with mass intakes of alcohol, and occasionally drugs. He’s depressed, angry, and sour. Not that he would let people concern themselves with his own wellbeing by showing it. After all, if there was one thing Reno is good at, it’s lying while he’s on a path of self-destruction.

HISTORY
Reno was born and raised in the upper levels of Sector Five. His father and mother had both decided they wouldn’t be able to take care of him because they lived in the slums and instead, left Reno with his Uncle in the upper world. His uncle had been a worker for Shin-Ra Inc as an executive so the two were pretty well off. Reno lived with his uncle until he was seventeen, where he moved in with his girlfriend Laura. By March of that year the two were married and Reno was working for ShinRa Inc. in weapons research department after his uncle landed him a few interviews.
The year that followed turned into the large change that had shaped Reno the man, into Reno the Turk he is today. On the spring that year Reno and Laura had were blessed with a loving child known as Marla. For one year the happy family was together and Reno worked diligently in the weapons research department helping to create the weapons that would help win the war against the Wutai. The pay was good, the money was stacking, the family seemed to be well off, and Reno was certain he had a found a place he wouldn’t have issues changing for years to come.
In the December of that year, on a cold dark night, Reno had worked late to get the extra hours in to bring home money for the holidays. The drive back was quiet and full of anticipation for the holiday dinner that Laura had started preparing earlier that morning when he left home. As he pulled up to the apartment that the family shared in Sector Four, he immediately knew something was off. The lights inside the house were out and the front door was cracked open. It was something completely unusual for the winter season. Rushing he made his way to the bedroom and walked on the scene of Laura being beaten and raped by a gang of thugs. Many things in his home were trashed and some of the more expensive things were taken.
The thugs in the bedroom were not the only ones in the house either, because when he stepped into the doorway, a few moments later he was struck in the back of the head with a rod. Distracted away from the victim on the bed, he was then surrounded surround by them all before they started delivering kick after kick at him. It was just by sheer luck that sirens started to echo in the night and the thugs, feeling that they may be in danger, had high tailed it out of there before the authorities could show up, even if it was an off chance that someone had called in for help.
He first crawled his way over to his wife Laura and got to her side. She was more than just beaten and raped, she had been stabbed and cut as well; her tears were no longer falling, and her breathing was labored. He willed himself to his feet to call for an ambulance and waited until they arrived. It was after he had left the hospital after being treated himself and made his way back to the apartment that he remembered something extremely important. The house was cold and dead silent. Cold, unsteady steps made their way over to the nursery room. Reno wasn’t the same after that night.
Laura had died in intensive care and Reno had immediately started heading down to the slums and getting into brawls. He drank excessively, beer, whiskey, scotch, vodka, it didn’t matter what it was so long as he got alcohol. He smoked cigarettes and found drugs. Sometimes he mixed them, and the company finally took note of his disappearance after a whole month of not showing up for work before they sent someone out to look for him. Having been working for the Weapons Research Department in ShinRa, and the war with Wutai still occurring, he had been in access to valuable information that couldn’t be risked.
They sent out a Turk to find Reno, and after a week, the man was found finishing up a batch of thugs in a bar fight. He had bruises all across his form as well as gashes, but Reno was still standing as victor of the fight. Bringing the man back to ShinRa, it was another year before he was officially a Turk for the ShinRa company. He was forced to clean up his act; but it wasn’t hard to do considering the Turks were an opportunity to kill people who needed to be killed, and Reno one day hoped that by the off chance he’d find the one’s that had arrived in his home that night. He no longer had the Gil he had saved up, having used it all on drugs, alcohol, and pleasurable company. His mind occasionally wandered with the thought of a bullet in his head but instead drank himself to oblivion or occasionally overdoses on drugs. One year after joining the Turks, he was forced into rehab for a whole year, and from there he continued to be part of the Turks.
He’s more in control of his habits, although alcohol is something that all the Turks share in common so he was never short on that. He didn’t seem to be as violent as he had been the first year as a Turk, although he did seem to slack off on the job more and had a tendency to have disrespect for authority. However he had proven himself on every mission that although his work tends to be sloppy, he does get the job done and had been working as a Turk ever since. His drug addiction has been kicked to the point where he won't even light a cigarette anymore but he isn't against drinking with his fellow Turks.
Reno has a tendency of being a little bit laid back on his jobs; especially when he is hanging around Rude who will usually do most of the work without a complaint. Reno has proven time and time again that he'd rather joke around and if he comes across then, flirt about with the women. Although he may seem to have a one track mind, Reno does have a wit and intelligence that seems to be hidden under his playful appearance. He is a Turk, and he hadn't survived this long from his good looks and charms alone.
He had first encountered Zack during the raid on Midgar by Genesis’s army that had attacked the ShinRa building. Reno, for the most part, worked side by side with Rude during those years as they hunted down Genesis, and then later when they went to search for Zack after the escape from Nibelheim. They had failed to bring Zack back to Midgar safely but little did Reno know that he’d end up meeting with his pupil several weeks later in a church in the slums. When AVALANCHE became the primary threat to ShinRa, Reno was charged with dropped the Sector Seven Plate in hopes of removing the terrorist group for good. Reno’s mission was successful but he ended up sustaining major injuries that required him to be in a hospital bed for a few weeks to recover.
While he was stuck in a bed the events unfolded without him being able to do much about it. The President of ShinRa was murdered by Sephiroth, Cloud and AVALANCHE survived and were off to hunt down the Ex-SOLDIER. Elena was promoted to the Turks, Rude was off chasing after AVALANCHE. Needless to say he spent most of his time in a pissy mood until he finally was set free from the hospital. He immediately caught up with Rude and the two of them spent most of their time during the Meteor Crisis, chasing down AVALANCHE and leading ShinRa to the Promised Land. When Rufus ShinRa was believed to be dead from the attack by Diamond Weapon, and the Turks were set off to face off AVALANCHE one last time, Reno called the attack off; deciding that a company that was no longer in existence wasn’t worth fighting for to begin with. To him, it was just time to call it a day and head to the bar, and that’s exactly what Reno did. The way he saw it, the world was going to be crashing down rather quickly so he spent most of his time drunk off his ass.
Even after Meteor was prevented and Sephiroth was stopped, Reno splurged in the bars of Junon until almost a month had passed where Rude ended up calling him up. The moment he caught news that Rufus ShinRa was alive, Reno was back on the job. Granted, Geostigma happened shortly afterwards, and they spent a lot of time trying to find the cause of it, which inevitably led to the excavation of the Northern Crater where they had found ‘it’ among the first sign of the remnants. Reno’s primary job was to protect the president at all costs and that meant to actually team up with a past enemy just to get the job done. He acted as backup for the main force; although, at times he liked getting into the front lines and give an ass kicking to Yazoo (so he would claim). After the remnants disappeared, and Geostigma with them, Reno seemed to vanish without a trace even during the events that revolved around Vincent Valentine unfolded. In all honesty, Reno had been working behind the scenes of the WRO, passing along information to Reeve whenever things came up so that the man could use it for their fight. Again, Reno’s primary duty there was to protect the president but at the same time, be his eyes and ears for the WRO.
In the aftermath of the Calamity, Reno’s role in life hadn’t much changed. There’s been an increase in bar variety which has made him especially happy but he’s still working under ShinRa as a Turk. He still has little love for AVALANCHE although he will admit they are ‘loose’ allies. When the president or Tseng orders him to do something; however, he will still do his job- eventually. He still hates paperwork and is finding new ways to getting away from doing it. All and all, he’s a Turk no matter what happens- even the Calamity can’t stop him.[/blockquote]

Electromagnetic Rod.
The EM-Rod may look like a simple iron pipe but ShinRa finest technology has been implemented into the mechanics. Reno could simply use it to beat people around with or he could press the lovely red button on the handle of the rod to send out an electric shock upon contact with a person's skin. The button of the handle has a cord that is attached to a wrist band so that Reno doesn't accidentally drop his weapon in battle. This helps to prevent him from being disarmed.
STOCKED ABILITIES
Pick three abilities to start off with. Arcane magic is not available until level seven. Abilities can be added at a later time in your character's inventory.
Merciless - Upon being reduced to critical status, the user will do a quarter additional damage.
Momentum - Every time an attack lands successfully the attacker is granted an attack power boost of 10%.
Evasion- Reduces damage taken by 10%.
BREAKING LIMIT
Loyalty to The Turks- Turks only have one thing that matters in the world: themselves. This ability is triggered when Reno or a fellow Turk is in danger of falling. It’s more potent when fellow Turks are on the field. It increases Reno’s attack and defense by 15% if he’s in danger. For every Turk that is on the field with him, it increases an additional 10%. Allied Turks will also receive an increase in attack and defense from this ability by 5% for every Turk on the field. For as everyone knows, the Turks work best together and watch each other’s backs. The duration of this lasts for 3 posts with a seven post cool down time. [/blockquote]
