The bell tolls as Ouranus seemed to be walking around the ruined city. She remembered it all too well as she walked the alleyways. Her footsteps were gentle as she continued to walk to the bell tower and climbed up to look over the city. She remembered how this place always brought to her some level of solace when she was a child. Everyday she watched the birds fly by and even watched plenty of sunsets. Even though there was much splendor of the castle, Ouranus always felt that this was a much better place because of the view it had. However, now the view had been distorted; warped by the mist and the events there after.
Now what was left was a ruined kingdom, but even though as the buildings look like they have been ravaged she knew that they can always be rebuilt. It was the people that could not. Once a person leaves, they can never truly return. Such is true about her own family. This weighed heavily on her mind as she looked out into the distance. She knew she would never see her family again, and if that is the case then she would need to uphold everything that her parents had stood for. This had made her feel vulnerable as tears welled up in her eyes.
However, there wasn't the time to cry. As she looked up again, she noticed something strange: there was no sound. This did not bode well in her mind. As she quickly scaled down the ladder, she knew that this kind of silence was the calm before an attack. Did the mist bring out an army of monsters seeking to harm more people? Running through the alleyway, she unsheathed her sword to be ready for anything. Stopping in the square, her golden eyes scanned the area surrounding her. Something was wrong, and she could feel it in her heart. However, it didn't feel like it was a monster attack. It was something different, something she never encountered before. When she heard the sound of beating wings, she raised her head to the sky. What she had witnessed was nothing she had only heard of in stories or second hand accounts. But to be standing in front of this one herself took her breath away.
