Much akin to its castle counterpart, Figaro, Baron has become a warped variation of its former self. The cerulean lake beneath her surface has become polluted, now a molted and grim color whilst the castle itself has darkened to denote the somber state of the populous. Wood and brick alike have begun to deteriorate; partials dissipating into seemingly nothingness with a black void overheard believed to be the source. Still, the people remain, loyal Royal Capital.

The entertainment capital of Spira has retained the majority of its luster however there is a severe exception; the beloved Sphere that once hosted the Blitzball tournaments is nothing more than a dark circular void, although it does retain the appearance of the Sphere pool. The entire region is restricted for fear of the dark matter expanding and many of fled elsewhere, leaving the city relative quiet.
