Noctis is what many people would consider handsome and intimidating. His appearance comes into contrast with his personality in a huge way. Noctis has lightly tanned skin that is surprisingly smooth with the exception of his hands. Due to various fighting, his hands have rough and dry patches along the palms and finger tips. When naked, one may notice crisscrossed and silvery lines around his torso. Although the scars have faded with age and aren't as big as one would imagined, they are there. The man stands at six feet and weighs around one-hundred and forty nine pounds. He has what appears to be a slender body, but upon closer inspection he is built with muscle but not as much as he hoped for. His body could be described as athletic or physically fit.
When it comes to Noctis' face, it is shockingly delicate. However, he is always showing an expression that makes people distance themselves from him. His eyes which are lightly colored in blue, similar to that of a clear crystal. His eyes are pointed sharply because of his Japanese descent on his mothers side. The man is practically full Italian though. It's been said that when he fights, his eyes change from their welcoming blue to a violent red. His eyes are accompanied by short eyelashes and somewhat thick eyebrows that are hidden by his disobeying hair. A long and thin nose is planted right in the middle of his face with full lips that almost seem to perfect for his features. His ears are pretty large but go by unnoticed thanks to Noctis' hair. The Caelum's hair is a dark brown which sometimes gets mistaken for black. His hair is very against him and will never stay down. Instead, it chooses to poke out in every direction it can. He keeps it cut in shaggy layers and his hair is always messy, no matter how many times he combs it down. The back is shorter than the front and sticks out on the sides and outwards. The top part of his hair tends to stretch towards the front of his face and falls helplessly into his view. The bangs overlapping every piece of hair they can grasp. The sides which are clearly the longest parts of hair frame is face, pointing in towards his chin with a slight curl. Overall, his hair reaches the nap of his neck.
Attire and style is something that Noctis cares little for. He prefers simplicity over anything else and will stick to a dark palette of colors for his style of dress. Usually seen garbed in black clothing with atleast several layers of clothing, even on the hottest of days. His pants are baggy and tucked neatly in his boots which lace up a few inches above his ankles. A black and form-fitting v-neck is worn underneath a short sleeved black trench coat. The coat zips up from his waist all the way to his neck. The collar is very high and the sleeves flutter out. The bottom of the tench coat is separated in an upside down V shape. He wears a belt with three separate bags that hold all of his necessities and his sword. On his hands are black gloves with silver buckles. Click here to view Noctis' everyday clothing. PERSONALITY[/font]
At first glance, Noctis gives off the impression to be the type of guy no one wants to mess with. He looks intimidating and is always seen with a stern expression on his face. Noctis isn't far from this, but it doesn't exactly pin point his personality. The most notable thing about Noctis is his cool, calm, and collected exterior. When he is placed in a dangerous situation he is the type to stay level-headed and put a plan into action. He usually isn't the type to run into a fight without thinking through every possibility.
In most cases, Noctis shows that he is a mature and responsible person. He is a prince after all and these things are expected of a prince. If you put him around his close friends though, he shows a much more carefree side of him. One that is slightly more laid-back and fun-loving.
Noctis tends to be a very stubborn person and will refuse to ask for help when he absolutely needs it. He is also a very self-sufficient person and enjoys being independent. He can sometimes be a judgmental person to those who depend on others even though he tries not to.
Noctis displays himself as an intellectual being who is strong and can control all of his emotions. He rarely talks to those that are strangers to him and is the type to not speak unless he has to. He pretends nothing bothers him and that he is capable of feeling little to no emotion unless he is around his close friends. It may seem like a while before he starts to open up to a person, but within no time surely is reserved side with diminish even if it is just a little.
In truth, Noctis is actually a very friendly person. It just takes awhile for his peers to get passes his hard exterior and see that underneath there is actually a soft interior. There is a side that is very shy around the opposite sex. In fact, he gets nervous and clumsy around them but plays it off with his cool facade. He tries to display an uncaring figure to hide the side of him that is innocently gentle.
A few things that never change about Noctis are his honesty and his view on reality. When people are overly-confident, he is the person that will deflate their confidence bubble or if they are to optimistic, he will remind them that anything can happen whether it is a good outcome or bad. he doesn't like it when people get their hopes up and is usually annoyed by people who are to optimistic or bubbly.
However, it has been said that when Noctis begins to fight his eyes turn a bloody red and his whole personality changes. It's as if he has a split personality. When his eyes are red, he is harsh with words and doesn't think as clearly. He appears to be an angry and confused being. The type of person who cannot tell right from wrong and is likely to kill anyone around him. Over time though, he has attempted to control this state and has shown progress in doing so but he is still a dangerous person to be around whenever he is in combat.
