Beauty and the Beast (Scara x Aturo)

[Aturo]

Aturo had been wandering for several days now looking for his missing family. At first he knew where he was going, having traveled the land with his clan for so many years he knew the plant life and the animals but as he kept walking, everything had changed.

Plants he couldn't even recognize, animals that looked like the belonged to different worlds started showing up out of no where. "What's going on?" The confusion didn't do much to slow him down since he had a mission to accomplish to find his clan.

He remembered a town in Gran Pulse, one he visited once with his parents when he was small, just to see what the city life was like. So fast, so loud Aturo didn't really like it much, but that's the day his love for shiny gadgets came about. As he neared Gran Pulse he ventured into another area he couldn't even recognize. It was like the world was patched up together.

Venturing forward into the plains ahead his senses started to pick up on something. The smell of a good meal. Leaning closer to the ground he sniffed lightly to pick up the trail of his lunch. Finding it he started to follow the scent.

Finally, Gran Pulse, a place that called for her. Vento had told her upon entering, her knighthood would begin shortly afterward. Scara, you're being followed. Scara jumped at the sudden voice of Vento and turned around to see...her. That chocobo with a sugar rush higher than a kid suffocating on candy was just a few feet away, staring at Scara.

SQUAWKKKKKKKK! She was discovered as Sugar the Chocobo bolted towards Scara and, from where she stood, she could've sworn it had it's tongue sticking out but suddenly the chocobo veered it's course, just inches from missing Scara, and bolted in a random direction. What the-- There was no time to think for she felt like she was just bowled over by someone or something.

Maybe the chocobo came back but Scara was too dazed to really register who it was that managed to dive into her. Scara's head was spinning as she opened her eyes, only seeing a blurried picture as she rubbed her eyes. She took quite a hard fall and that was a...violent crash. Vento didn't like it one bit and she could hear him roar with fury, a roar only she could hear, but it dazed her more, unfortunately.

[Aturo]

He was getting closer. He saw the big yellow feathered bird and chased after it as fast as he could. Unfortunately for him this chocobo was smart. Knew how run in a way that made it difficult for Aturo to catch it easily. Either it was incredibly intelligent or it's used to being chased.

Nearing the big bird he heard it squawk loudly and then all he saw was white. The bird turned so sharp that Aturo had no time to react when he came colliding with a small woman. The hit was hard, since he was running at full speed and because of his size, despite just being somewhat bigger than her. His brain felt like it was bouncing all over the place and his eyes were blurry.

Giving himself a moment his eyes readjusted and found himself laying on top of a girl. Jumping up immediately. He kneeled to her side and picked her up a little bit into his lap. "Hey, hey miss. Are you alright?" He made sure not to shake her so he didn't cause anymore injury.

Hey she wasn't touching the ground anymore. At least Scara knew she could register things in her mind as Vento's rage was ceased upon realizing Scara would become even more dazed if she had to deal with the physical nature of her fall and his mental screaming. Scara didn't answer at first, everything still spinning, but she heard his voice and opened her eyes again.

She saw him and instantly recognized it as male as she nodded her head slightly. "I'm fine." Despite that, and a cute little smile to add, Scara still was dazed. But, above all else, at least she didn't bleed anywhere. It took a little bit to register that it wasn't the chocobo that attacked her, it was him, and she wondered why he attacked her.

Oh. Chocobo. She thought that thing that just happy to see her. "D-Did Sugar make you mad? She's hyper but she's probably a good chocobo." Then it registered she was on his lap and instantly blushed, in realization of this. "I-I'm sorry..." ...What was she apologizing for again? Her head hurt too much to think deeper into what she was apologizing for.

[Aturo]

Aturo smiled a little bit to see her coming to. "Phew, that's a relief I was worried I hit you too hard." Letting out a sigh of relief he gently brushed her hair a little bit to make sure there was no bruising on her head. "That's good I don't see any bruising. You should be okay after a little rest." Smiling softly.

Hearing the girl speak Aturo could tell she had a very nice voice, probably shy like if she wasn't tackled to the ground by someone.

"D-Did Sugar make you mad? She's hyper but she's probably a good chocobo." Aturo shrank back a little bit hesitant to answer the question...not realizing that the chocobo was this girls pet.

"N-no, I hunt for my food...and didn't realize it was anyone's pet. I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you." Not sure what to do, nervous she might get angry that he tackled her and just tried to have her pet for lunch he wanted to jump back. But she was still injured and didn't want to hurt her more. So he held her softly in his arms and lap.

Oh good, the dizzy spell was going away a little and the pain was disappearing. She nodded to his words. It was nice for him to check up on her after he ran her over. It was also good that he didn't run her over on purpose and that he was just hunting for food. Wait, he was what? Scara blinked at him and tilted her head, smiling big as she chuckled.

"Not even the fastest human could outrun a Pulsian chocobo! With Sugar, I don't think anyone can catch her...or predict where she is." She did, however, look at him with confusion. "Pet? No. I just named her Sugar because she can't seem to keep still. She keeps flying me to other continents...well not flying; Pulsian chocobos can't fly but you get the picture."

Finally, she was okay enough to stand up against as she got off his lap and turned back to him and smiled sweetly. Most people on Gran Pulse had to catch their own food but he didn't seem to know anything about Pulsian Chocobos. It was a rather...strange thought. "I'm Scara and thanks for helping me earlier."

[Aturo]

"Pulsian Chocobo? So that's what they're called. No wonder it was a hard catch." He looked at the plains around him again. "Sorry I'm not used to this area or what is even going on. one day i was with my clan and then now this." Aturo looked around confused.

When Scara stood up he stood up as well. Examining her to make sure she was really okay. Ready to catch her in case she fell to her side. "My name is Aturo. Hunt leader of the Fenrir Clan." Introducing himself he showed his tatoo. People who knew of the clan knew of their tribal tattoo's that represent their position.

Scara knew exactly how he felt. She too was thrown out of her home and into an unknown realm. However, unlike him, she was more well-traveled now and learned a couple of things on the way back from home. She knew something strange happened to the worlds and past, future, space and time has somehow clashed with each other and someone was apart of it.

"Alright then I'll teach you some places! Right now we're on the outskirts on Gran Pulse and Rabanstre. These two worlds collided with each other and now blend in..strangely. Thing is...the Cataclysm happened. I, er, got the word from someone in my travels. Basically time and space clashed together so it's entirely possible I'm from the future and you're from the past. It's...complicated. But the same thing happened to me. I was in gran Pulse, minding my own business and then I ended up somewhere."

Scara could be rather talkative sometimes, even though she was shy. However, she felt strangely friendly to this man whom she had just met recently. "Nice to meet you Aturo! You from Gran Pulse? It sounds like the only kind of place you'd live in. I'd know, I'm from there...er, no specific village really." Not anymore, anyways, she thought.

[Aturo]

Aturo was shocked when he heard Scara's story and about the calamity. "W-what? Several worlds have been fused together..." Aturo was so dumb founded that he remained speechless for a minute or two. 'They could be anywhere...and what if everyone was separated?'

Hearing Scara's voice again brought him back to reality. "O-oh. Sorry just a lot to take in. No, I don't live in one particular spot. My family belong to a traveling clan. We travel the lands and we got separated. I'm looking to find them."

"Do you think someone in Gran Pulse might have seen my Clan? If so would it be alright if I travel with you? I haven't traveled these new lands yet so it'd be safer if I could travel with someone who knows the way."

Scara blinked. She's heard of traveling clans before, and even whole villages, but to meet a person from that made Scara really feel like she could relate to him. Technically, she and Akira were nomadic, going from place to place with no definite home. Home...she should visit it sometime if the world didn't mess it's location up. Scara shook her head.

"I don't know anyone from any nomadic village...sorry." Then he mentioned wanting to come with her as she looked at him sadly. "I'm sorry...I can't take anyone with me." Scara was afraid of what would happen when she became a Knight and didn't want anyone to get involved, especially someone she had just met.

"I have to make a journey...alone." Scara said turning away and looked at home. Akira was here somewhere and she wanted to find her. But after she found her..."I'm sorry. But I hope you find your family." Scara said, turning back to him with a small smile. Yeah, she couldn't bring him into possible danger.

[Aturo]

Aturo was confused, lost. The whole world literally changed before him and with no clue where he was and no idea where his family could be he felt very small. But despite this feeling he had to move on. He knew his family was out there and he had a responsibility to return home.

Before Scara could get too far away from him he ran up to her. "Wait! S-since I can't travel with you. Can you tell me which way the closest city is? Maybe there I might be able to find something...but walking around aimlessly is going to take too long."

Scara was antsy, she couldn't deny it, but not being able to offer him help was just wrong of her. So Scara fought down her want to return him and decided to help him. "To the North of both Gran Pulse and Rabanstre is Costa De Besaid. It's...a small settlement but it's the closest thing to life here on this continent besides, well, Gran Pulse and Rabanstre."

She hoped that she provided him with enough information. "I'm sorry to be in such a hurry...I have a quest to complete." Scara said, smiling a bit. Vento and her both knew that her quest would only begin when she stepped into the heart of Gran Pulse. The wind was howling, calling out for her, telling her Akira was there.

"I really do hope you find your family. We'll meet again for sure!" 'Just not in your condition soon enough.' Scara's face flashed with concern but she hid it under her smile. Under...what condition? What exactly would she go through when she found Akira? What will happen to her when she will become an Knight?

[Aturo]

Learning of the locations of three populated areas Aturo smiled. A little upset he couldn't travel with her. He wanted to at least try to make up for ramming into her full speed after chasing down her pet. But he smiled and shrugged it off. "Alright, thank you Scara. Thank you for your help. I hope that this will get me closer to finding my family."

Hearing about her quest Aturo wished her luck. "I will say a prayer to Fenrir so that your path may stay true and your will ever strong. I do hope we'll meet again in the future."

Aturo turned into the direction of Costa Del Besaid in hopes to find rumors of his family. If not all he had to do was keep moving forward. Eventually he would find them again.

Scara blinked. Okay she was sure she wasn't hearing things. But that sounded a lot like Vento but it wasn't him...it was...familiar. This happened after Aturo said his goodbyes. <b>"Scara!"</b> She had no time to react to that sudden voice as Scara turned around and the next thing she knew she was forced backwards, rolling on the ground and finally stopping.

Scara didn't register that Vento spoke - out in the public for the first time - yet for her eyes were trained on five familiar shapes. She recognized them as Caramel Flans. Great, one just merged with the other to great a Giant Caramel Flan (Forgot wtf they were really called). Scara got up to her feet as her weapons appeared in her hand and readied herself.

The flans were just there, watching and waiting for her to move. 'I haven't had a fight with monsters in so long...' She thought as as felt the wind rushing beside her as her eyes widened a bit. "Wind!" Suddenly a large gale of wind, just short of a tornado, grabbed all of the flans and twisted them around for a short period of time, before they fell, all slightly dazed.
