Cecil is slightly tall for his age, and is sometimes mistaken for a much older man. It doesn't help that his neck-length hair is silvery white, so that one might mistake him for a truly elderly person from behind. However, one look at his face is enough to put one to rights about his true age. His eyes are crystal blue and perhaps a little too serious for one his age. His lips seem to bear the slightest tinge of blue. His skin is pale, though he doesn't look like the kind of person to stay cooped up out of the sun.
Though he is tall he is also a little skinny, though he would probably be classed as 'lithe'. Though his light armor and the cloaks he tends to wear make him look slightly more bulky his true form is much more slender. Even in armor he moves with refined grace like a dancer or, more likely, a fencer.
PERSONALITY[/font]
Cecil is a man of contradictions; light and darkness. Haunted by his past of violence and power he now seeks a future of sacrifice and humility. Though he now attempts to avoid battle for his own sake, he will quickly rush in if he could somehow help someone else through violence. Though he know holds life in high esteem and struggles to protect it he is just as willing to discard his own life to serve others. But is it truly sacrifice? Or is he merely disregarding his own life out of self-loathing for his earlier acts? Even he himself cannot answer the question.
Since he himself was a dark man once Cecil is willing to believe the best in even the most evil of adversaries, to a fault. He could almost be classed as naive in the level at which he is willing to forgive and forget and turn his back on those he should most certainly distrust. In his attempts to rid himself of any remains of his old self he has also thrown away his caution, his judgment, and his logic. Instead now he acts on feelings and emotions, desperately defending anyone in distress without first thinking it over. Guilt hangs over him like a cloud, and though he has forgiven many others for countless crimes against himself, he may never forgive himself for the way he used to be.
Cecil is kind and fair to all, infinitely trusting, infinitely forgiving, infinitely exploitable, infinitely naive.

Paladin's Armor: The light armor Cecil generally wears on his person is blessed with a holy power. It allows Cecil to resist 25% of all holy elemental damage.
HISTORY[/font]
Cecil was born of the union between a Lunarian man and a human woman on Earth. The Lunarians were an ancient race of magic beings who dwelt on the magical moon that watched over the Earth. However, soon after Cecil's birth the Lunarians withdrew to the moon, never to be heard from again.
Cecil was raised by the king of Baron, one of the most powerful kingdoms in the world. From an early age it was apparent that Cecil was not an ordinary child, and he was quickly respected as a swordsman and leader of men. In his teen years he was given command of the Red Wings, Baron's airship fleet. Though he was young the men under him all respected him as he showed again and again his battle prowess and compassion in protecting their lives.
However, even at that time Cecil was headed down the path of darkness. A great force known as Zemos was beginning to infect the hearts of men. This darkness sought to devour all life by first claiming the crystals that provided life and light to the world. One of those infected by Zemos's darkness was Cecil's adoptive father, the king of Baron. He began to send Cecil on increasingly horrific missions; killing innocents to gather the crystals together.
Cecil, unable to reconcile himself with the murder he was causing, tried to reason with the king but for this he was dismissed from his post and reduced to carrying a message to a nearby village. This 'message' turned out to be a package of destruction that the king would use to raze the village of Mist, home of the summoners.
In the blazing town Cecil finally snapped, deciding to cast off his loyalty to Baron once and for all. Thus began his true quest.
On his way Cecil met many others who wanted to protect the light of the crystals for various reasons, and learned about his own heritage. He also gave up his dark, blood-stained armor in favor of the white robes of a Paladin. No more would his sword be used for darkness, but rather would be a shard of light for the world.
After defeating Zeromus, the final form of the darkness of men's hearts, Cecil returned to Baron to take his place as the king's successor. With his wife Rosa he ruled over the kingdom peacefully for a time. Just as before he became well known for his loyalty, fairness, and selflessness in protecting the people of his kingdom.
Then came Calamity, and the mists. Though Cecil tried to shut the doors of Baron and withstand the creeping shadows of this new world, it soon seeped in to his citizens. Now he sits on the throne, trying desperately to hold together his people as the mists threaten to swallow everything into obscurity. First and foremost in his mind is finding a way to banish the mist and return light to the world. Perhaps it is time for him to take up his sword once more, and defend hope.[/blockquote]

Cecil's soul explodes outward and takes the form of a massive holy dragon that shields all his allies. Cecil is tied to the dragon, and any damage it takes is given to him. The holy aura of the dragon soothes all Cecil's allies.
