Don't Know What This IsBut It All Leads To This - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rydia pouted as she slowly climbed down the stairs. Rosa seemed to be temporarily missing whenever Rydia wished for her company. When she wasn’t missing, she was off pretending to be someone who wasn’t her with swords and black magic, it seemed. It was rather troublesome for a mother to be so unavailable; but maybe it was because Rosa wasn’t her mother that she seemed to be like a ghost within the mist. Her spirits were slightly dampened but only slightly. There fact still remained that somewhere in the castle Cecil was meeting with Mr. Stork in preparation for a magic she had never seen before in order to bring the gift of parenthood to the two people she loved the most in the human world.
”Hehe! I’ll be big sister Rydia! Just like how Cecil was my big bro!”
There was no one around, but she could feel eyes looking at her for yelling so loud to no one. The green haired girl blushed slightly as she wrapped her arms around herself. She needed to learn how to act like more of an adult if she was going to be a good big sister. Everyone somewhat babied her, but they couldn’t coddle her and a newborn at the same time! The girl coughed as she cleared her throat. From now on, she would act prim and proper like all the other adults. She wouldn’t raise her voice any more when she was scared or excited, and she would learn to respond in a monotone voice like all other adults around the castle did. When Cecil thanked her, she couldn’t go about skipping about all giddily; she would have to express her pleased feelings in a calm manner. The young girl nodded to herself as she continued down the stairs slowly and carefully. Today was a new day for Baron, and a new day for her as well!
However her resolution was all but forgotten as she passed by the second set of doors that lead to the throne room, a familiar man in white rags came from his important, secret meeting with the king. ”Mr. Stork!” she exclaimed happily as she nearly tackled him to the ground. ”Mr. Stork! Mr. Stork!” she continued to cheer in bliss. She had found him before he could leave Baron to go off to deliver babies to the next happy couple. Once again, she latched onto his arm as if they were still lost in the mist. Her emerald eyes sparkled like gems as she looked up at him.
”Did everything good with Cecil? I bet it did since you’re so reliable!”
During her trip out in the mist with Mr. Stork, he had been very helpful in killing monsters and keeping her safe even though she tried to be his savior. He made sure to keep good track of her so she didn’t go running off into the mist. It was rather hard to stay focused within the mist, even harder than usual for the overly energetic girl. And Mr. Stork seemed to know about several things she had no knowledge of. He was more than helpful even though she was supposed to be the guide.
She happily snuggled up next to the man, temporarily forgetting her purpose for wanting him. Mr. Stork had spells she had never seen before lurking within him. She wanted to learn such things if possible. There was a chance of learning his odd magically ways as a way of unlocking even greater magical powers within her. There was just no telling! ”Oh! Mr. Stork, can you come with me? I want to show you something, but…” she moaned lowly as she looked up at him shyly, ”you have to keep it an absolute secret! You can’t even tell Cecil I showed you…”

Bedtime and Rydia's "Special Place"
I know I'm going to be karmically slapped in the face for this, but a man my age has certain expectations when he goes to a girl's room after visiting her "Special place". It certainly didn't help that, despite her disposition, Rydia had a body any heterosexual guy should be happy enough to go for. Of course the noises she made when overly excited or even slightly exasperated consisted of moaning. Maybe it's been too long since I was an innocent kid but puberty catches up to us all an I wondered, briefly, whether the green haired girl had gone through that process at all. That is, until she wraps herself around my arm and I'm reminded how well she... fills her top.
It wasn't common for a girl to be so innocent with rainbow vision. Auric's encounter with Rydia had been one with mixed impressions... she oddly was excited with running around nuking monsters with her black magic. But he had to keep her close by and at times when the mist was particularly thick she got cute by hugging his arm rather tightly. He wondered briefly, as to the possibility of her actually being afraid -- putting on that cheerful face for her benefit or even his own. Not that he was particularly frightful nor had he seen her to be scared... still, there was always the possibility that she simply liked to cuddle. He could empathize with that sentiment -- truth be told, since the day he left Aurelis the sub-concious reason for sleeping around was really to just get that warm feeling of intimacy you get from snuggling up to a warm body.
Suffice to say that such a common thing in Pulse as sleeping with others in the same bed was practically non-existent in the populated centres of Cocoon. Ah, still, it seemed to hold true wherever he went in the world but he had to admit that their sleepover in Luca had been a refreshing change from the norm. His discussion with King Cecil felt oddly mundane... Baron's place in the world was rather small, its standing military and technology appeared to be very shorthanded given what he'd seen in the world. And yet, they were rather resolute in establishing relationships with the other realms -- he wished him luck, given that Baron had practically nothing to offer. Worst off was that they had more problems than benefits which certainly would have repulsed any man who didn't have some medieval line of thinking.
Hell, the nearest populated areas were Luca and Midgar, one having such a low population while the other wasn't likely to take anyone's side in the next few years. But as Rydia caught him leaving, he could only turn and give her his attention when she practically tackled him, standing his ground and barely managing to maintain balance when her beaming face and repeated use of a title which, up until recently held no meaning for him. Honestly, he had half a mind to teach the girl about the birds and bees so as to stop the possibility of this happening again. He couldn't really trust anyone in this town to sit down and knuckle through an explanation. "Haha. Hi Rydia." he greeted her again, letting her cling on to his arm as she cheered his fictional name.
"You could say that. How do I put it? He wants to reschedule, I guess. Well, I'm sure he'll follow through when he's good and ready." he explained, artfully painting the truth and yet maintaining her sensibilities. "Uh... yeah, sure I guess. I was about to go look for an Inn to stay at for the night but that can wait, right? So what did you want to show me?"

Don't Know What This IsBut It All Leads To This - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Reschedule?
Did that mean Mr. Stork would need to come back at another time instead of making Cecil a daddy today? She could understand why such an event would be postponed considering the two were supposed to go traveling all over the world in order to have Cecil make new friends as a King. Traveling their world long ago took some time; though their travels were hastened by the threat of the world ending. While this mist was troublesome, she didn’t see it as threatening as a man destroying cities for their Crystal. ”I guess that makes sense,” she moaned with a pout. All her thoughts of becoming a big sister to Cecil’s first born were completely dashed with this news. It was a little disheartening, but Cecil always knew best. If he told Mr. Stork he was holding off then there was a good reason behind such a call.
The only question that was left was how was Cecil going to find Mr. Stork once they were finished traveling? It was a big world outside the city gates, and she really couldn’t tell of Mr. Stork had something like [Warp] in his deck of unknown magic. Or maybe he left Cecil with a special potion that came him instantly capable of creating a baby on his own? There were just so many questions that were going to be left unanswered until she pestered Cecil about his decision. It was a good thing she didn’t find Rosa or Baron’s Queen would be just as disappointed as their green haired summoner guest.
”Inn? Oh! When I first stayed in Baron, I stayed at the Inn too. But now Cecil lets me sleep in the castle in his old room,” she explained as she cuddled to his arm, slowly guiding him towards the stairs. ”Why not stay with me? My bed can fit us both! It’s almost just like camping.” The girl was more than willing to share a bed with her new friend. In Luca they slept together, so why not Baron. Though Luca was different then Baron since she considered it an adventure and she usually slept in the same area as her party members; it was just how it worked out during their travels. Besides, Mr. Stork had insisted they stay close and there was nothing closer than sleeping right next to each other.
They continued up the stairs, going down a long corridor all the way up towards another set of stairs. Baron was fairly gloomy nowadays. In its glory days, the two moons used to shine down upon the city through the clear skies. The waters around the moat were a pristine cerulean that sparkled like a river of sapphires. Now the skies were hidden by the thick layers of cloud that seemed to swarm above. At first she thought it was the mist that waited to descend come nightfall, but after moving out of the Inn and into the castle, she was high enough to see something else. As they reached the top of the tower, Rydia paused as she moved towards a window. ”I wanted to show you that,” she cheered as she pointed towards the sky. Baron’s castle reached the sky, but it had points that reached above the looming overcast. Though the sky was semi visible through the narrow window, it was hard to tell what exactly she was trying to point at. Outside looked completely black. ”It’s easier to see from the very, very top! My window’s easier to climb through,” she insisted before skipping up the stairs. ”Come on, come on.” She had taken off once again, though the stairs only lead to a room at the top of the tower. It wasn’t a fairly decorated room at all, mostly consisting of a bed and sit down area. For now, she seemed to be ignoring it as she walked over to the large window and stood on its ledge. It was always a bad idea to try to climb a tower since someone as unlucky as Rydia was prone to slipping; but her childlike instincts lead her to try such things. Besides, when she first saw the black ball in the sky, she couldn’t help but want to be higher to see it better.

The truth was -- he didn't really know what Cecil had planned for his little baby. Or even that the man would of been trying at all. See the funny thing is that he was more awkward about the subject than Rydia would have ever let on and with the man's evasiveness he could see how she'd of been easily misled. Actually he was also surprised no one had bothered to teach the young green headed girl about it the moment she'd hit puberty. Ah, such was life. Still, he didn't get into it... he wasn't at all too concerned at what must have been going on in that little head of hers... as knowledgeable as she was at magic, she must have justified everything about his status as Mister Stork as being a great unknown capable of miraculous feats.
Well, that worked for him. Still, he got the odd feeling she'd ask him to do something very awkward one day and he hadn't decided how he'd react when that went down. But as she went on excitedly explaining how she'd slept in the Inn the first time she came to Baron and how she now was allowed to sleep in the castle, he should of figured she'd of asked him to bed with her. Great. Mentally that sounded weird in his head but now that the concept came straight from her mouth it didn't sound in the least bit more innocent... especially when she'd made a comment as to how it would be just like camping. Yeah. Sure. It would have been camping with her adult features pressed right up against him... combined with the things she did at night that only experienced women would get into.
Still, at the back of his mind he suspected she was precisely that sort of girl... masking it all behind an innocent face. Not that he complained... it was just darn confusing. But as she led him on upward and he followed closely behind. And then... she pointed into the night sky, which, to his surprise lacked the same beautiful view he'd seen from Esthar, Pulse or even Garden. Had the view been magicked? He couldn't tell without first flying high there and getting a better feel for this realm... but as Rydia ran off he could only pursue her. He approached her from behind... placing his hands beside her on the sill, and pressing himself against her back as he leaned forward to look up from her window. Yeah. He got the feeling she might have fallen through and short of grabbing hold of her clothing this was the best way to keep her from stumbling over the edge. "Mm. So this is what Baron's sky looks like." he remarked, placing one arm around the green-haired witch's stomach as he pulled her an inch away from the sill. "It's a nice spot. What exactly do you like most about it, Rydia?"

Don't Know What This IsBut It All Leads To This - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rydia turned her head around quickly as she felt Mr. Stork behind her. It was as if she was expecting someone else to have snuck up on her, but since it was the person she invited to her room, she was more than content with him being so close; she hung onto friends closely all the time. His arm slipped around her waist, so it seemed he was unintentionally keeping her from scaling part of the tower to get to the very top. Even if she couldn’t reach the highest point of the tower with Mr. Stork holding her, they were still up pretty high; she could still see the absolute nothingness within the black sky. His comment made her turn around his grasp and look at him as she shook her head frantically. ”No, no, no! Baron is supposed to have a blue sky with two blue moons. One is really big and bright while the other one is like a baby moon but still shines brightly…” she insisted. Her two had two moons, and though the other moon was gone by the time she returned to Feymarch after Cecil and Rosa’s wedding, she would always remember it with the glowing twin moons. Even if they were back within their own world, seeing one moon would be a bit…abnormal.
”It is a nice spot,” she agreed settling down as she turned back to look at the blackness. ”It’s just like home.”
Mist wasn’t like this; even with the dense fog there was still two moons shining down upon the small village. Instead, this was like her second home where she got to live with her new parents. The land of the Eidolons didn’t seem to work in the same way that their world worked. It wasn’t even like this world even though it seemed the sky was a vast nothingness with the outline of a vortex of an abyss within it. A sad sigh escaped her lips as her lips pouted. She wished she could have returned home. ”I guess this world is almost similar to home, nowadays,” she confessed. The mist had invaded Feymarch along with the Will of Calamity. At least all the Eidolons seemed to understand some greater will and bend towards it. It made no sense; they were never fans of humans considering whenever they were on the Overworld or Underworld of her planet they would strike fear and cause minor catastrophes, but they never went so far as to wish for the end of all things.
”Mr. Stork, is this place like your world? Or are you from Cecil’s human world?”
She had to admit she was curious about some legendary being that had magical powers she hadn’t seen before. A power that could create life from nothingness seemed like a power that the Eidolons should control and never any humans; and yet Cecil had swore babies came from the Stork. She didn’t expect someone like that to be from Cecil’s world, but it was possible. There were all types of things there she never expected like giant attacking towers…
