[This will eventually turn into an arbiter battle. Akira will jump in with Fang when it's about time.]
Gran Pulse...as if it never changed, excluding the fact it was connected to another piece of land but that fresh, wild air, and the roaming monsters...Scara was taken aback at suddenly being home. Scara wanted to cry out and shout out Akira's name, telling her she was back home. However, nature had noticed her presence as the winds shifted slightly.
You love your winds, don't you? There was a rumble of amusement, this time, Scara swore she heard it with her ears too. "I can feel it. It's almost time...but I want to see Akira before...I change." Scara announced sadly. Vento knew Scara didn't want to become a Knight, and he knew what hell Scara would go through, but Scara was here by choice.
Scara would change today, and possibly, be changed for the rest of her life. However, he could already feel the wind starting to solidify as he resisted. Scara could feel the wind shift behind her as she turned around, seeing the winds concentrate. They dispersed as soon as she turned around but the fact that it happened scared Scara.
She had to find Akira, now. Gran Pulse, the air of it, was starting to react to Vento's presence. Scara bolted, flying over the plains like a mad woman, unaware that there was a chocobo, following her. Scara only realized it was there when she heard a loud 'SQUAWK' and was suddenly in the air. However, Scara managed to grip the neck of the Chocobo, keeping on it barely.
"I-It's you!" Scara cried as the chocobo squawked loudly once more, bolting across the plains. Though Scara wanted to find Akira fast, this chocobo was going at an alarming rate. At this point, Scara was afraid she would fall. "Wait stop! Ack that's an Adam--NO DON'T---" Scara thought she had a heart attack as the chocobo ran through the legs of the slow moving Adamtoise as Scara whimpered.
"Please stop...!"

have you ever been
Well.
Gran Pulse was as it always was; a struggle for survival that never ended, even amidst the feeling of off that had washed over her as soon as the sand turned to grass. The Archylte Steppe was a sight for sore eyes, even though Lightning wondered if she'd survive this cross-country trek without her l'Cie powers.
Everything seemed to have been shifted three feet to the left since the last time she'd been here. It was that kind of strange - even the Megistotherian and Behemoth King that were perpetually dueling near the entrance to the Mah'habara underground complex were different, somehow.
Washed over in memories as she was, perched on a ledge above the main field of the Steppe with her palms and balls of her feet to the ground, she almost didn't catch the stunt runner weaving in and out between an Adamantoise's pillar-like legs.
But she did - and she stared.
Was that a teenage girl sat astride that wild chocobo?
How convenient - there was one of the yellow birds roaming around nearby. Lightning was not scarcely worried about that girl; a teenager on the Steppe was a near impossible thing in itself, but on a wayward chocobo with no visible weaponry?
She had to intervene; and rummaging around in her pack (petting the unnamed pink chocobo while she was at it, who peeped at her,) for a peck of gysahl greens, she tossed it to the chocobo who - nimbly - gobbled it out of the air. Mounting up from the left using her right hand, gripping the body below the flightless wings with her knees and digging her heel into the bird's flank, she was off with her knuckles buried in the yellow feathers.
Lightning Farron had never gotten used to riding chocobos, to her chagrin.
alone in a crowded room while i'm here with you

Scara noticed, as she was starting to get dizzy, that the chocobo had a pink bow in it's hai--feathers. She...didn't want to know as the chocobo changed course again as Scara nearly fell out about how adrupt it was. However, scara was suddenly aware of someone on top of the Chocobo too and, at the same moment, so did it. The chocobo, being as strange as it was, didn't panic but, rather, slowed down and then stopped.
Then, slowly, she cranked her neck around to see the intruder on her. Scara took this time to get off of the chocobo and landed on her feet, unsteadily, and turned to look at the stranger. "Thanks for stopping the chocobo. It...uh...kind of tackled me and put me on her back." Hopefully Lightning didn't think she was lying - for the chocobo lost interest in the pink girl on her and started to peck at Scara's skull.
"O-Ow..." This was the weirdest chocobo ever. "PREEEEN!" ...Did chocobos even say things like that? "It's been...following me everywhere..." The chocobo suddenly looked back at Lightning, possibly catching the scent of another chocobo. The chocobo squawked as it suddenly started to peck at Lightning. Scara stared at her in disbelief.
"I'm going to name you Sugar. You're...hyper."

what happened to us
Thank the Maker this didn't turn into a high-speed chase over the Steppe. If it had come to that, she would have just ditched.
As it was, her dismount was slightly neater than her mount, left-hand brace and feet swung up and over, landing square on the ground without even a whistle of passage. The girl seemed less than steady herself - she'd stay over here in case she decided to hurl or something.
"It's been...following me everywhere..."
"Whoa. I believe you." The story was suspicious, but the chocobo - aptly named Sugar as it started pecking at the girl - was more odd than normal, so Lightning decided to just go with it. No reason for suspicion, anyway. With the amalgamation of worlds, Gran Pulse had civilization again.
"So where are you- EEEP." MAKER HOW GIRLISH - Lightning slapped the chocobo's pestering beak away angrily, already willing her goosebumps to disappear - freaking Anima, she didn't like the birds, they were like cats.. or dogs.. or some hybrid of the two. Just ick.
Shock and betrayal, her pink companion nosed its way out of her knapsack and fluttered up to eye level with Sugar, chirping madly. No doubt trying to sic the bird on her again. Stupid chocobos.
I heard that it's me we should blame

Scara would've possibly said something but anything she would've said would have been forgotten with Akira's entrance. A King Behemoth was running towards the group, but not at. It was...running away from something. Or someone for that matter. Akira was hungry after her sudden departure from Vanille, and her recovery from Sonia and was chasing the slow beast.
However, when two girls appeared out of nowhere, Akira stopped her chase adruptly. Akira didn't know why her instincts kicked in before her senses but it didn't matter once she registered. It was Scara, with a dumbfound look on her face. Akira didn't care though...she finally found her. Akira didn't care if she was running like if some massive hoard of spiders were chasing her and she had fear of them.
Akira probably didn't register the chocobo nor Lightning until Akira basically ran over Scara and hugged her. Scara looked dazzled when the force hit her and Akira was hugging at her tightly. "Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you! I even tore this place a little bit trying to find you!" Poor Lightning didn't come across Akira's mind, nor the chocobo, who was staring at her.
The chocobo was so confused it didn't even chirp back at the small pink fluffball.
