every night, i stay awake, i find my reflection and every night, i rethink my past mistakes i dream of absolution- - - - - - - - - - “okay, if geostigma is gone for the most part, perhaps we can still go to midgar?”
he sighed. she was curious and just describing the symptoms of geostigma didn’t seem to sate it in anyway, but he had to admire her. ouranus seemed to have good motivation and wanted to know a lot, and he felt the same with some things. genesis placed a finger on his lip and then shrugged. “suppose it won’t hurt. just... don’t touch anyone with the symptoms i described. i have no idea if it’s contagious,” he ruffled the back of his hair a bit, smiling weakly despite feeling sick at the thought of even seeing someone with the stigma. it sounded disgusting, and the redhead was not fond of illness...
“but do you... that notebook you were holding. seems you were writing a report – i did the same – so i presume you have a job on this world?” genesis tipped his head to the side, ever so slightly femininely as he questioned the girl lightly, extending his wing out a bit in order to stretch it. he hadn’t used it in ages for long periods of time. it always hurt when he had it out, it weighed him down a little bit on his left, despite the wing itself being quite light, and he could feel the feathers dislodging, and it worried him. he must be degrading but he didn’t feel any weaker at all.

"I promise."
Ouranus nodded her head when Genesis warned her about not touching anyone. This was an arrangement she agreed to whole heartedly. She knew things about the Mist, but the Geostigma was clearly something she had no real knowledge about. And like her father had once told her, if you don't know what is going on, then you'll be in more trouble than you would be if you knew everything. As Genesis was looking at her notebook, she then had a somber expression. "Well...yes and no on that, it's less of an official mission and more of a mission to understand what was going on." As she took out the notebook, she opened the book to show Genesis what she had been doing.
It started off normally as a journal and the things she did for training when she was younger along with notes explaining how the Mist was turned into a weapon and the attack of a powerful dragon and how it was subdued by a mighty monolith with white angel wings. But as the years go on, the entries became fewer between until she reached when her parents had left. She had wrote down everything in intricate detail about the situation of the kingdom in general. A page had been stained with some drops of blood, explaining how she had to give the order for her family to get out of there while she fended off the people who had been turned into killers. After that she had been gathering notes about the new kingdoms. One of the more recent additions for her journal being Cocoon.

every night, i stay awake, i find my reflection and every night, i rethink my past mistakes i dream of absolution- - - - - - - - - - yes and no? how could that work? genesis listened to her as she explained it was a mission of her own and the book she was writing in was actually a journal of sorts, a diary. the redhead took the notebook from her, not snatching it though, and he turned to the front page, skimming through the words quickly. a normal journal at first, full of information that was quite interesting. in the back of his mind genesis remembered his old journal and wondered where it had disappeared off to, but he kept on reading ouranus’s. fewer entries were made in hers, quite like how genesis’s got fewer and fewer until he stopped completely. when he came across a page with drops of blood, genesis lifted his head and blinked at the girl before scanning his mako eyes through the writing, explaining that she had to order her family to get out of her kingdom while she fended off the people who had turned into killers.
that seemed to be the last entry of her old life, and the rest were notes about new kingdoms. he read through them quickly, eyes widening as he realised the state the worlds were in. there were more worlds than he had expected... just... so many of them. genesis felt weak-kneed for a moment but he kept standing as he handed the notebook back to ouranus, staying silent before saying.
“we need to get to the bottom of this... crisis, and put a stop to it. i didn’t realise so many worlds had been merged together... i only thought four, maybe five, but there’s more,” was he able to do this? no, no, don’t think like that, genesis, he told himself, you can do this, you just need friends to help you and you need to believe in yourself. the redhead let out a quiet sigh.

Ouranus nodded her head as she smiled happily. "I'm glad to have any help you can be able to give me." Even though she had been working for the PSICOM, but she had been moonlighting with gathering research information about the who, where and why the worlds all merged into one. "Perhaps we can be able to go see Midgar to find out more information?" At the very least she wanted to know about the Geostigma. However, she was also very concerned about the Mist. She had always thought there was a possibility for the Mist to continue leaking into this new world. If anything, she knew the Mist of Alexandria was a natural creation, so if it mixed with the lifestream, she shuddered at the thought what would have ensued from it.

the redhead breathed out a quiet sigh to express his wariness of the city of midgar. midgar meant shinra, and shinra meant SOLDIERs and turks, and that meant that they would perhaps attack on sight of the seemingly-still-rogue ex-SOLDIER first class. though if genesis was accompanied by someone, perhaps they wouldn’t attack... but then they may attack ouranus at the same time. he hadn’t visited midgar again yet and he even wondered if he would find weiss there... and nero, but perhaps they would be out causing mischief. genesis frowned a bit before realising that an answer should be spoken.
“i think we will, but first i’ll need to actually see if there are geostigma victims, and check if i’m safe around there,” safe from shinra, and his fangirls. it would be extremely embarrassing if genesis went to midgar with ouranus only to be chased out to the skies and back to cocoon by the red leather fanclub.
